Meet The Team
Derek Morton
Derek became a Director of NetVector in 2000. With a keen interest in IT, Derek worked through the ranks in several corporate organisations before joining up with former colleague and friend Nigel Holmes.
Client support and technical development have been Derek’s focus. He manages the Finance and Operational side of the business. With over 30 years’ experience, Derek optimises the delivery of services and keeps abreast of new developments and technologies. Derek enjoys spending time with family, running and cycling to keep fit plus drinking a decent glass of wine.
Nigel Holmes
Nigel is the founding Director of NetVector. Conceived from humble beginnings in 1997, the Company’s premise was to support SME’s without their own IT departments. Over 25 years later, NetVector has grown and developed but retained its core identity and values.
Nigel gained a degree in IT in 1990 before acquiring a wealth of experience in the industry. During his time at NetVector, he has turned his hand to most roles but now focuses his energies on Company development and Account Management. Nigel enjoys cooking, visiting Portugal and cycling in his spare time.
Michael Mann
Mike Joined Netvector in 2007 as a Helpdesk Analyst. Since then, he has gained a wealth of experience in different roles and is now our Operations Manager. Mike’s priorities are customer satisfaction and ensuring his team is resourced and developed effectively. He is responsible for the delivery of a full suite of IT services to our customers from regular site visits to technical helpdesk support.
Outside of work Michael will often be found in the gym working on his fitness.
Kris Ruffell
Kris joined Netvector in May 2022, as an IT Sales and Account Manager. He is primarily responsible for supporting existing and new client relationships and improving the customer experience.
Kris has focused on building professional relationships throughout his career, starting out as a Sales Assistant through project work and into Account Management. When he’s not assisting clients, Kris enjoys taking weekend walks with his family in the countryside and cracking cringe worthy ‘Dad jokes’. He has organised, managed and taken part in many charity events including Marathons, sponsored runs and football matches.
Shabir Carrim
We welcomed Shabir back to NetVector in February 2017 after a short spell away, with over 14 years’ experience in the IT industry, Shabir has provided support, maintenance, installations and consultancy for a wide rage of industries such as insurance, media, hospitality and retail.
He has a keen interest in VMWare with a VCP certification in Data Centre Virtualisation along with a BSC (Hons) in Computing and Business IT.
Alan Padgham
Alan has been in the IT industry for over 15 years working in several MSPs, the charity healthcare and gaming industries.
This has given him a huge variety of experience with technologies and vendors across the spectrum of the tech world.
In his spare time Alan plays in a band and is a keen gamer.
Annette Everard
Annette joined Netvector in October 2016 as a Business Administrator. Since achieving her CIPD qualification, Annette has recently become our HR Business Partner. She has over 20 years’ experience in administration and staff management and has previously specialised in HR and Pensions.
Annette has a BA Hons Degree in History and, outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering at local school events, baking, reading and travel.
Russell Porter
Russell joined NetVector in August 2013. As one of the longest serving members of the Helpdesk team, he provides experience and knowledge to our customers, whilst supporting them both on the phone and on-site visits. His areas of expertise range from installations and migrations of all computer / server hardware, Microsoft MCSE, MCP on Desktop and server systems and Sonicwall CSSA.
Away from work, Russell is a Scout Leader and spends time with his family.
James Daniel
James joined NetVector in 2018. With a BSC Hons Degree in Computer Systems and Networks and a range of experience in IT support, James brings a wealth of technical knowhow and expertise to the team. He has great customer service skills and is always happy to assist on the phone or out on client sites.
In his free time James enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
Richard Byfield
Richard joined the helpdesk in April 2022 with a strong customer service background and a keen interest in IT. He is effectively applying his knowledge to quickly learn about our clients, systems and processes. Richard loves learning about new technology and enjoys supporting friends, family and colleagues to resolve IT issues.
Richard likes to keep healthy and outside of work he enjoys hiking, cooking, gaming and going to the cinema.
Adam Knell
Adam joined Netvector in May 2024 as a Help Desk Analyst. He brings 2 decades of experience in IT and dedicated to delivering exceptional service, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving innovation in IT processes. His passion for efficiency and problem-solving enables him to excel in fast-paced, challenging environments.
When not assisting clients, Adam enjoys participating in walking groups, cooking, socialising, and travelling on the UK canal network.
Ben Paterson
Ben joined the helpdesk team at NetVector in September 2023. With a strong background in customer focused support for various companies he always goes above and beyond expectation to deliver the desired outcome.
Having earned his degree in Editing and Post Production, Ben enjoys creating media content for friends and family.
Jemma Leslie
Jemma has recently joined NetVector to manage the Accounts Department. She has over 20 years of experience in different finance roles, team leadership and process improvement. She has already shown herself to be an asset to the Company in the short time she has been with us.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, paddle boarding and playing netball.
Kylie Ramage
Kylie joined the Accounts team in February 2022. Originally from South Africa, she moved to the UK in 2018 and is enjoying living in Britain despite the weather! With a strong background in administration and customer service she is quickly picking up the role and will be supporting Jemma going forwards.
In her spare time Kylie enjoys spending time with her family, cooking healthy food and keeping fit.
